The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for its Latino Leadership Program through July 15th, 2018. Entering its 13th year, this highly-regarded program builds the capacity and networks of existing and emerging Latino leaders dedicated to improving economic and social well-being in the Latino community.
The Chamber’s Latino Leadership Program is designed to:\
- Develop leadership skills.
- Enhance understanding of economic and community vitality issues.
- Expand network of leaders and resources in the Latino and wider community.
- Increase the number of Latino leaders in public, private, and nonprofit organizations.
Each year approximately 20 individuals are selected to participate in the Chamber’s 12-month Latino Leadership Program. Participants attend a monthly full-day session that includes workshop style engagement and interaction with leading organizations in the region. The program includes project-based learning to integrate content and build skills. Participants also receive exposure to a range of boards and commissions in order to facilitate placement into community leadership positions.
